Ok, can I shoot a girl who is wearing a NY Yankees t-shirt or hat. I mean is that copyright infringement, since I am using the team's name and the logo? Anyone know anything about this?

Without going into legalities, I would say do not do it.
Ever wonder why some cooking shows and such put generic labels over very easily recongnizable brand name products? -
Makes me wonder how people do it with beer bottle labels and other bottles and crap.
I see models in athletic outfits on a lot of content too.
I am sure that people don't have permission from the lakers and budwiser to use their logos, and yet, there it is.AKA - ClubsexyComment

It is complicated. At times its perfectly legal, at times the company pays to be there, and then at times they can sue you if they are.
I would think most get away with it in adult, just due to lack of enforcement.Comment

FAC has it right... and the Yankees are one of the more protective teams in regards to there logo.
In Hollywood, the studio lawyers (most of whom occupy the bottom of the stupid barrel) will tell you that having logos in shoots is "illegal." What they are really saying is that they think you are an idiot actor and therefore unworthy of a real explanation.
If you present the company's logo in a duragatory way, you can be sued for defamation. Putting a logo in a porn shoot isn't a big stretch when it comes to duragation. So it's not illegal, per se, just ill advised.
The real reason they often don't use real logos in t.v. and movies is that they are holding out for a product placement fee. Why give Coke, Bud, etc free advertising when you can charge them for it once the ratings go up?Comment

Are you attempting to profit?Originally posted by Gimmy
it is not for a porn shoot, it is for a swimsuit website. Does it make a difference? Is there any websites or anyone I can contact to find out more about this?Comment

Forget about legal or not.
Do you want the hassle of fending off Nike's lawyers?
The only place you will get a decision on whether it was legal to do it is in court. After you spent $100,000.
Don't do it without their permission.Comment

yep, and aside from warping the beer labels etc in photoshop, i even make sure the girs hold the label in such a way that when they stick it in their ass or pussy it is well hidden...Originally posted by AMADude
We always avoid copyrighted logos etc. Hell, even when the girls are pouring lube on each others asses we make sure the lube label is not facing the camera.New models booked and shot every week... MILFs, pornstars and teens. Girls for every niche and project.
