WTF Internext?!?

LISTEN UP! This is important, I know you all are getting ready to make your hotel reservations ... well, if you go through Rose Tours, CHECK OUT DATE IS THE 6TH!!! That means that Thursday, the last day of the show, you can't get the discount price of a hotel. I called and confirmed this twice.

Always been that way. Prices go up on Thursday in Vegas and stay up through the weekend. Maybe someone will find ya a deal???

Not me, no biggie at all....here's the thing. I know certain companies have made their reservations and put down checking out on the 7th and Rose never said anything. Since the show has been moved up and overlapped with AVN this year, we have never dealt with this.

I reserved to checkout on the 7th... they told me another convention is coming in then so I had to get out otherwise I was going to stay till the 8th.

I wonder what the majority of people will do. Check out on the 6th? Move to the Venetian on the 6th? Or just stay the extra days?

I think this affects companies who are interested in planning events if a good amount of people go home the evening of the 6th.

What I don't think I explained well enough was, Rose Tours is done with Mandalay on the 6th. That is when check out is. So, you can't go through them for the night of the 6th, you have to reserve with Mandalay, either phone or website.

Uh, I was pretty specific when reserving and rose said that checking out the 7th was fine? Bah, what a clusterfuck.

Well, the Luxor is right next door (connected to Mandalay by tram, I believe) and is a grand total of $506US for all nights from the 3rd through the 7th for their basic room.

Just as a follow up, I just got an email from rosetours about my reservation which said:
I am holding 2 Deluxe rooms at Mandalay Bay from 1/3 to 1/7/05 at the rate of $169 per room per night. The hotel will charge the first night room and tax deposit per room the first week of December. At that time, they will issue confirmation numbers. I will be emailing them out approximately 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Since I am staying for both Internext and AVN/AVN Awards, I found a room at the Imperial Palace (right beside the Venetian) check in on Monday 3rd and check out on sunday the 9th for only 474.00 USD

So I won't have to walk too much to the Venetian (AVN is 4 days)...

This is not the MB nor the Venetian but I just need a place to wash and sleep a bit.... Beside that I am never there

Okay, talked to Jeannie today and here is the deal...while I talked to wrong person and they were half right. If you ALREADY booked and did check out on the 7th you are fine. They are SOLD OUT on Thursday night, have been for 2.5 weeks. So, that's where all thsi came from. When I called I asked "Your sheet says until 1/6/05, does that mean check out in on the 6th or 7th?" She said 6th. So there ya go ...

Well also for anyone staying for AVN if you are staying in the Venetian for the AVN show you have to check out the 9th they have no rooms for the night of the 9th. IBM is coming in and the hotel would not give up any rooms for that night.
