Should we be AVOIDING big affiliate programs?

With so many people infected with spyware, I'm really losing my faith in affiliate programs. I wouldn't be surprised if half of all sales are going to spyware guys these days.

Have there been any real studies to see what the real figures look like?

Maybe if one spyware guy "went away" for good maybe things would change

the toolbar stuff your pushing, could be cause of it, i'd be careful of those things
