Difference between "Unknown" and "Bookmark" referrals...

In trade scripts, stats programs (server side and SexTracker style), etc ... how do these programs know the difference between an 'unknown' referrer and a 'bookmark'? Do you consider those stats to be accurate? Sometimes they just don't seem possible.

The question isn't very clear ??

Bookmark's that are known are logged as bookmarks..

Unknowns can be from anything ( hence the unknown tag )

my take is.. bookmarkers have no referral.. so could be a type-in or bookmark...

good point
mine was that there is no difirence between typing, bookmraks and for some firewalls. those have no referals
