Now let's see....prolly 1/2 a day or so to knock up a 5 page tour that looks as good(bad?) as that and 45mins tops for the flash banners....so....a little over half a days work for $500. Hmmmm...working current hours I could make $365k a year doing that. Time for a career change I think.

The quality of his banners they'd take far less than that. Either way flash banners don't take too long if you already have a good pool of iamges to grab stuff from. Depends entirely what you want from the banner. I suppose interactive stuff could take quite a bit longer.

Hey man we all learn some way or another. Your design is great imo I think you do good work. Price wize Think of it like this start off building cheap to build your rep up, Also alot of new people can not afford high price designs. That Is why I would not charge as much as someone else that does it. Good luck and btw

Sri,

One of the issues i see with your site is that it's just plain. Obviously you know how to work photoshop decently, but it's "bringing it all together" that makes a designer a good designer..in my opinion that is.

Your site is very amateur compared to whats out there. But at the same time, some of these very amateur-ish "feel" type of sites do extremely well on sales. So if that is the limit of your talent, then you may want to hit up that market in this business...and really concentrate on that market as you main source of design. Study it, get better at it, and design for it.

If i were you, i would surf around and the 1000's of adult sites out there to see how others designers "bring it all together." There are very reputable & wonderful designers on this board that i'm sure would lend a helping hand. Still though, at the same time, come up with your own style. Last thing you want to do is copy and take other peoples hard work and ideas.

Last thing to keep in mind is don't be like everyone else. After surfing hundreds of designs, you'll notice a cookie-cutter trend.....thus the reason most paysites all look the same. Sure they beautifully designed, but it's all the same boring shit.

The way to get noticed is be different and have some "vision," cause vision is seriously lacking in the business of design right now. Take all the pieces you learned, and build your own style. See it from the surfers point of view, and never follow anyones lead. Create your own path and run with it.
