    Programmer(s) needed for Big Project!

I run College Downtime and I'm looking for an experienced programmer to do a huge project for me; probably looking to get started at the start of next week.

I'm looking for an advanced, custom script for College Downtime that will fit seamlessly with our current design. It will be used for all our content submitting sections, so users can submit pictures, drunk stories, and browse them all at the same time. A great example of this can be found at www.collegehumor.com. The most important part of this project is that I need this script to seamlessly blend right into our current design, while delivering complete functionality.

If you are interested in any way of working for us then please shoot me an email, or ICQ me, or both. In the email I need your name/company (if any), contact info, past experience, references (if any), and most importantly a quote for the requested project. If you need more info on the project then please just let me know what other stuff you need and I'll get back to you asap. I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you!

    Cheers,

    Pat R.

I've been programming porn since 1997 and
I'd like to discuss this with you. I've ICQed you.

                  > and most importantly a quote for the requested project.

If anyone gives you a quote based on one or two sentence
description you post on a message board, withotu even
discussing your needs with you _at_all_, they don't know
what the hell they are doing and I'd suggest you could eliminate
them as a potential canidate immediately based on that
fact that they think that you budget a project first, then design it,
then hope that it ws what the user wanted, which is
                  exactly backwards.
Users/requirements first, then design, then budget.

raymor, you'd be surprised, but it's very possible to give a quote based on few sentences if you really are experienced. Of course you provide the full explanation or specification on how you are going to implement it as well.

                    romans.

yeah his site isn't all that complex, but if it was a TRULY BIG PROJECT then, yah.

Downtime I strongly suggest you icq Romanish. Normally I don't want anyone else using him as I have so much shit for him to code for me, but at this time I have nothing for him to do. He can code php and C and can work with any type of database, even non traditional ones. Just to give you a idea he coded TTTC and recently chokertraffic.com The chokertraffic script is a php script that stores the databases in memory. On a single cpu celeron with 1 gig ram it is doing 25 requests per sec and the load average is 0, no backed up requests, nothing. Lightning fast. But best thing is he coded it so each surfer is only 1.2 requests. I expect the script to be able to process 25 million surfers a day before we will need to cluster it to multiple servers.

As far as his ability to integrate a script into your existing program, I searched for months before I could find a coder that could understand my old ctts script and make changes to it etc. It was a complicated piece of code that most C coders could not understand at all. He reverse engineered it and made all the changes I wanted on it. When searching for a coder I have found that most cannot do this.

I RARELY put my name on the line by recomending anyone like this BTW.

I have a programmer that I am currently using for a nice project for TripleXCash. He lives in Canada, has good rates and has a team of programmers. Let me know if you want his information.
