    Question for content providers

In referrence to Talent Scouts and Recruiters:

    1. If you use a recruiter to find talent and you pay the recruiter a referral fee equivelent to 20% of the models pay, wouldn't it be considered bad business if that recruiter also takes money from the talent as well?

    2. If a recruiter flys in a model because he has other producers shooting the talent (4 or 5 shoots) do you think it's correct for that recruiter to charge you (the producer) and extra fee to cover his costs of flying in the talent?

Been battling with these issues for months, and I feel recruiters get what they get, period... How do most of you handle it?

Im not a content provider, but I do shoot my own content. I would say that it is fair for a pimp to get paid by both the client and the "talent", assuming they are both fair sums.

In response to your second question, travel expenses should be divided by the total # of clients.

That being said, I've never hired a girl through some bullshit talent pimp. Never will. They are all scam artists and wanna be thugs, low life trash that can kiss my ass.

          And Czech IPs.

The situation with agents and recruiters is simple. They are either very good and provide a good service which you have to weigh against the value of the product.

Or lying cheating scum bags who I would not let walk my dog.

They can take money from both ends if the model agrees and the cost of flying has to be paid, do you think the agent should pay for it out of their 20%, the model out of her $400 a day or you?

          All depends on the situation.

Most talent scouts/agents in LA charge producers a flat referral fee, standard is $100 - whether the job is for $300 or $3000. Most agents also take a % from the talent, 10-20%. The porn industry's biggest and oldest agency World Modeling does not take any % from the talent. There's also another new agency that is not doing it in hopes of attracting more girls.

I don't see anything wrong with it - i'd rather they get rid of the $100 booking fee. Girls have the option of also booking their own jobs and most do.

LMFAO!!!! You've hit the nail on the head there... Personally I Just hate to see these poor girls lose their $$ to these blood suckers, especially when I pay them $100-$150. And then they take the girls' money.. But hey, I guess this is the ugly part of the biz, but if I had it my way, I'm glad to pay the recruiters the money, as long as what I pay the talent stays in the talent's hand...
