    WMV files with embedded scripts

I've come across some video files in WMV format that cause popups to webpages even though I've disabled script running in Windows Media Player.

What's the best program to use to see what scripts are embedded within this movie file?

Are you sure you aren't going through some other script before playing the file? The ability to auto-launch URLs in WMP has been turned off by default for a few builds.

I don't see how I could be going through another script. The .wmv file resides on my C drive. Once I doubleclick it, that's when IE opens up a webpage.

I have confirmed that running scripts is disabled in my media player so I'm not sure how they're doing this.
