I am looking for some companies that offer credit card processing. Would be considered high risk, As it is adult oriented. I have been looking at CCBill But their fees seem a little on the high side. Who else is out there that you would recommend? Thanks

Look into Onramp/offramp crypto solutions. .. A customer can still use their visa but it cranks out as crypto.

My only '' warning '' is to stay far away from everything American. .. The USA is a dumpster fire on Fentanyl that's planning to rob everyone.

If it comes down to it, I suggest getting on a plane and set up banking someplace outside of the USA's sphere of influence.

You have lots of choices: CCbill, Epoch, Segpay, Netbilling, etc. Netbilling is the cheapest but you have to have a merchant account with your bank.

Also, I don't recomend that you compare payment processors by fees alone, as they all include a ton of services for those fees that you can really use.

Do this: Don't look at processors as a requirement. Instead, look at them as a potential business partner instead. Each one publishes their policies, so what you need to do is read their policies and be ready and willing to work WITH them, Contact each one, ask all your questions and you will be able to find the best fit for you and your business quickly enough.

there's 2 different levels of service.

third party processors, such as ccbill, verotel, epoch, vendo. they own their merchant accounts and allow you to process thru their banks.

then there's merchant accounts, where you own the bank relationship and you just need a gateway.

3rd party billers usually have high fees due to holding all the liability and managing the entire billing process. they host the join forms and typically manage memberships.

if you want a merchant account, you'll be paying 60-80% lower processing fees, but its a long process to get approved. if you don't have a US company, its probably not worth applying. once you are approved tho, its very hard to lose the account.

there are a few gateways that will help you apply for a merchant account. i'm partial to MobiusPay (talk to [email protected]). they'll help you thru the whole process.

the one drawback of a gateway/merchant account is they typically don't have hosted pages or membership management. Mobius does have a basic hosted pages system, although you'll probably want something like NATS if you don't have good tech help.

all that being said, approvals at the 3rd party vendors lately have been difficult.

Verotel just declined to process a new site for a client who's been with them for a decade. same content, new brand. they said they've changed their standards. they are allowing the old sites to stay up, but won't approve new ones.

CCbill approvals take a long time too, and they just doubled their annual fees.

billing has been a shit show for about 3 years. it is truly the main barrier to entry now.
