    CCBill Affiliate Programs Down?

So apparently the ability to signup as an affiliate with CCBill has been broken for over a week now. No new affiliates can signup as affiliates. This is affecting my Programs - is it affecting yours?

After contacting CCBill several times and them saying "It's been escalated" (whatever that means) the issue is still not resolved. Is anyone else seeing this?

If you run a CCBill Affiliate Program see if you can signup for a new CCBill affiliate ID.

        STILL not fixed.

If you run a CCBill Affiliate Program please contact CCBill and ask them to FIX THIS PROBLEM. It is costing you affiliates and revenue.

                Cost!

I made good money helping pay sites using NATS.
Every sign up page needed knowledge of "Smarty" programming.
The admin provided lots of options, but that took knowledge to get things correct.
I constantly got jobs for sites running NATS and never for sites running CCBill.

No doubt : NATS is the most dynamic platform; but the learning curve is high.

Not bitching or hating; just keeping it real.

                Good luck.

This is true for anything though, most (if not all) companies cater to their whale clients. In this case it's a billion dollar client versus a guy running a few paysites making $650,000 per year thinking he's king of the block.

Ah shit I sound like fuze now.

Well in general I agree with you but I myself am not acting like 'king of the block', merely a 20 year CCBill client waiting for over a week to fix a simple backend fix so that I can launch my new Affiliate Program and signup new affiliates. I am not asking for much just for their shit to work, that's all.

Plus, this is not just affecting me, it is affecting EVERY CCBill Program owner and affiliate program. So this thread is also intended as a head's up for anyone with CCBill affiliates.

This is exactly why I like having a backup payout route before there is a problem. Even good programs can have processor or banking delays.

For affiliates, clear status updates matter almost as much as the payment itself. Silence is what makes people nervous.

Totally understand, also my anecdote was not meant to be directed at you or anyone personally. I've just learned over the years that even if a service has decent customer support, sometimes they just don't want to cater to smaller clients until either 1 of 2 things happens: a serious malfunction, or the bigger clients start saying something.

I have had decent merchant support from CCBill this year, but I don't use their affiliate program and haven't had to contact them for anything recently.

I also have had good interactions with merchant support so no complaints there. It's just a bit of a mystery to me why the signup process (on CCBill's end) was working fine then last Thursday POOF it stops working and it hasn't been resolved yet.

Of course now we are into August when all of Europe takes off from work so this may not be fixed for some time...I hope I am wrong.

Affiliate programs need a boring backup plan for outages: status page, honest ETA, backup tracking links if possible, and a simple note to affiliates before they start guessing.

Silence is usually what makes people nervous, more than the downtime itself.

I agree - the silence from CCBill is deafening.
