Israel has insured continued attacks upon their populace. Led by NothingYahoo a thumbs down was given to a Palestinian State. NothingYahoo has stated that there should never be a Palestinian State, but does agree to eventual autonomous rule.

This opposition to a Palestinian State is in opposition to the position of our President. It will be interesting to see how this plays.

The continued conflict is the Worlds modern day Roman Coliseum.

I just saw on the news that a grass roots movement in Saudi Arabia is in play to boycott buying american products and the movement is expected to spread to all of the Arab world. This in protest of our (Israel right or wrong) position.

I take initial media reports with a large grain of salt, but if true justs further indicates the growing hate against the US for its position of supporting Israel with a right or wrong approach.

Actually if push comes to shove we don't have to have Arab oil (most of our allies do). Admittedly it is economically convenient.

You are aware that the US is one of the highest oil producing nations in the world, right? The only reason the US imports the amount of oil it does from arab countries is this:

They do not want to expend their own oil resource, and thus be subject to potentially huge oil prices that the arab countries could thereafter demand,

It is currently cheaper for them to import oil from arab nations, because these arab countries are currently pumping out massive volumes of oil, and as a result, are selling it at a price that makes it more economically viable.

If push came to shove, the US really wouldn't -Need- the arab countries for oil. It's just that, at the moment, it is more beneficial this way.
