candidhosting.com again?

While I can connect to my box it seems that some people can't. I tried to ping my box from http://www.all-nettools.com/tools1.htm and both, my host and candidhosting.com came out "Host unreachable".

How is it for everyone else hosted on candidhosting.com?

What exactly would I be spamming? A host that went down on me while I was submitting a site to Richard's Realm and got "Retrieving page.........FAILED" or the program that everyone already uses?

The host seems to be up now. It pings and the page was submitted fine, but I don't like these surprises when the host is unreachable for some ISPs.

I am wondering if there is a monitoring service that would ping my box every so often and email me when it's down?

I have installed "Internet Services Monitor" on my computer.
Then I made a small PHP on my server that only open and close a mySQL connection.
I have then set Internet Services Monitor to retrieve that file every 30 seconds and check the file size.
I will then get a mail if (that forward as a SMS to my cell phone) if
1: The file size does not match.. Then I have a mySQL problem.
2: File can't be retrieved. Then my server is down.
It can also check that ping times shold be below X
