    DVD authoring

    So for the cheapskate who wants to burn a bunch of AVI / MPG 1 movies into a collation of DVDs... what software that's free do you guys use?

    I think I need something to encode it into dvd format first of all,

    then something to burn it

    or is that not so?


    I'm sure someone in here knows..?
