icq problems - your experience?

ok, i'm really starting to get seriously pissed off... in the last few days:

-- messages that i send never make it to the recipient
-- i don't get messages that people send to me - i even lost a customer on my content site argh!
-- no messages containing a hyperlink EVER arrive at the recipient
-- constant login timeouts...

do you have such problems? i mean, i'm almost sure that it's the network but it can be the client as well...

Yup, I moved completely to trillian after 3 days of total downtime with ICQ

it's missing some functions and some really small things that I liked from ICQ, but in terms of stability and reliability, it beats the hell out of ICQ, besides it doesn't have ads

when someone sends me an hyperlink I dont get it, seems to affect mostly when there are not in my contact list

well, i guess you get what you pay for i hope they make it a paid service soon and get rid of all problems... how many of you use trillian?

If you cant get links from people not in your list, that is because you have the option not to recieve them (its a new spam filter)

I always have the problem of when i get a link icq'd to me, I click on it and it crashes icq

Hmmm all that has every really happened to me was the double click doesn't always want to work.... from 1995 on, knock on wood!

I don't have too many issues with ICQ, I use it all the time. However, the following two things sometimes happen:

1) I notice that some messages are really slow when I click the send button but that's usually only to a few of the people on my list.

2) I've had maybe like 6 people in the last year that I've sent authorizations out to that our ICQs just don't seem to talk to one another. Even with new requests and deleting the old ones. And no, it's not that I wasn't accepted on their lists!
