i have www.sitedepth.com on my server and I will tell you it is just as good as that other one that costs $4000, and I can guarantee the service you get with it is 500% better....

those guys are on top of their game and have went out of their way to get my shit rockin...they have even modified the software the moment I needed it done.

We use AdultWebWare on our main site http://www.virtualmedusa.com

Thanks to the great support we managed to get our project online quite soon.

Right now we have 11 different theme channels and work with about 40 Gigabyte of data files. All managed by AWW.

AWW handles this with ease and makes updating now a really quick job.

I have worked with other system like MAS for example, but I strongly prefer the structure and quick support of AWW.

AdultWebWare rocks! Couldn't have a better CMS. It has all the bells and wistles of a typical CMS, but with the voting polls and built in IM it can't be beat. Thumbs up for AdultWebWare.

Gotta be really careful when creating your own software, especially if it's a large, complex, comprehensive program.

If the initial cost of developing and testing the software is, say for example, $10,000.00, and it wasn't completely planned out, you can expect to pay another 15 - 20k to get it where you *really* want it.

Even if you plan it out completely from the start, you will always need to make changes once you actually work with it for a while.

I'm a pro programmer and software architect, and I only write small progs for my own use. I would MUCH rather find existing software that has been built, installed and tested by many other people, for anything other than utlility scripts or scripts that are intended for a very limited purpose. Look at the differences between version 1 and, say, version 3, of any complex software. Version 3 might be what you really need, and you'll pay through the nose to get there. It also takes a considerable amount of time to get to version 3.
