Windows XP SP2

I installed SP2 and then uninstalled it because I couldn't do any windows updates with it because my windows is pirated. On a legal copy on a friend's comp windows update worked fine. Does anybody know if there is a way around the authentication it uses to do Windows Updates on SP2? Help me out!!

It won't work on pirated versions...This is typical of Microsoft software..there will be a crack soon once the released version is out.

Previously it was just checking known pirated keys, but now it verfies your key with their database...

One thing is ironic though. Without all the pirated versions of linux, everyone would use an open source OS. But now, people get used to pirated versions at home, and then, they buy legal copies for their business.

what in fucks name are you talking about? linux, in all of its varied and various flavors, is free. You can download it. you don't have to pay a single penny for it(other than bandwidth). If you buy a commercial distro, you are paying for support and distribution, not content.
