As for free hosting you'll find that microscopic banners = shitty hosting. Get set up with paid hosting. When you earn $1500+/daily the hosting charges become insignificant.

I sent, and sent hits for months. Their reply was "The check is in the mail".
Well fuck, 10 1/2 months later, still no check.

I'm from holland and I haven't got a creditcard that's my problem with paid hosting, I got a dutch hosting paid through a bank account transaction but it's shitty and not made for Adult hosting.

There are other ways to pay for hosting. For example,
- checks
- money orders
- paypal
- wire transfers
- cash (only if you're fucking nuts! )

I'm getting set up with Vector Force now, and I'm going to have to go down to the bank on Wednesday to have them set up a wire transfer. But the Halifax are theiving fuckers - £20 fee for the transfer, and everytime I put a check into my account that is worth more than US$40, they convert it to £GBP and deduct £13.35. £10 for "processing fees" and £3.35 for "foreign check fees". I've got 16 checks to take down on Wednesday... that's huh, £214, or $303 to just process the fucking things. 10 fucking signups. They can shove their charges up their ass the theiving fucks. I hope that they get fucking robbed - I'm moving to Abbey National asap.

Well, I've gone off topic a little here, but vector-force.com were going to let me pay with £GBP check and they did the conversions for me. Turns out I'll be paying be wire transfer though. If you contact them they may be able to set up a payment option where you pay by check in your own currency. Not sure though, but it's worth a try.

Try sponsorwatch.net. They try to keep up on who's paying and who's not. I don't know how reliable it is or if it's a biased account of what went down, etc. but I check it out to get a feel for the sponsors.

If you are in the UK you must get a US dollar account or you will lose all your small payments to bank charges. Don't you have a friend in the US who can help you out.

ez12: If I am not mistaken, most, if not all, free hosts do not offer FTP.

This is for a couple of reasons.

#1 (i think) Is because sending your files up through their webpage (and scripts) is the easiest way wo add their advertising to your pages.

#2 Easier to block files they dont want on their servers (Some dont allow MPEG's MP3's Etc)

There may be other reasons too, but im pretty sure those are 2 big reasons. So, I think you will have a hard time finding a free host that runs FTP. Remember it is FREE so you arent going to get the same thing as paid hosting....

Actually, they look very tempting. Apparently the banks ask for a $1000 initial investment... which is no problem. But why? Makes me suspicious.
