Patent.bat?

Just got an email that has an attachmnet called Patent.bat.

Anyone else get this?

The subject of the email was 'A very new website'

with the body:


Hello,This is a new website
I hope you would enjoy it.

Patent.bat


Of coarse I didnt execute it but I was still wondering if other people got it or if it was a direct attack on the site that the mail ady is for.

The .bat extention is a batch file. You could open it in a text editor to see what it does.

Its a virus...for sure...i get dozens of those a day.

god, how lame is that, that a wannabe virus writer can't even compile an executable.... limited to using a fucking batch file.

it's kinda sad really.... we should take up a collection to send him to virus school so he can learn to do it right.

Thats another thing that I thought was strange.

I opened it with both notepad and pfe and all it listed was machine jiberish like it was an executable.

The thing was that if it was ment to target only me then I would have wanted to look at it further.

But since other people said the had recieved it then that is not the case so I dont really care what it is.
