    INTERNEXT Help!

I've never been to an internext. What are the common ways vendors promote their products and sites
    brochures?
hand out pencils with names on them?
give out squeezy stress balls with their sites name on them?

or is it just one big massive business card exchange?

    Am I missing any?

Brochures are good but honestly I never read them that much. The best thing you can do is hunt down some people you want to do business with and spend some time talking with them.

Bread and milk? Is this a "grandma recipe" or does it really work?

They promote their products and sites by a few different ways. The first is a booth with reps that can answer any questions you have. They may have promotional material, i.e. flyers and so on. Some companies will have catchy promo items that people want to have, like t-shirts, lighters, bouncy balls with LEDs, beer mugs, and so on.

Some will have their models walking around the show floor handing out their promo material. This is useful in getting people that may never make it to the booth.

Many people will be exchanging business cards, yes....it is always good to put a face to people at the big companies. The best work gets done at the events and gatherings where people can actually relax, sit down, and talk some business. Its a great way to build relationships too. You may not do business with that person right away, but you get your foot in the door and establish recognition. People love to do business with friends. The more friends you have in the business, the more success you will have in people wanting to do business with you. A person is more likely to do business with someone they know versus someone they don't know. So the shows are a great place to get to know people and start building those relationships.

however does anybody think that the cost (and it will be quite a cost for 3 of us to attend from UK) does not warrent the trip??

You should without a single doubt have affiliates lined up that you want to meet.

however does anybody think that the cost (and it will be quite a cost for 3 of us to attend from UK) does not warrent the trip??
i have someone coming over from there to internext to meet up with me. I think the plane tickets are like $1200 or something.

It all depends on what your goals are for the show. I'd recommend to everyone, both exhibitors and attendees, to make a list (even a mental list) of what exactly they want to accomplish at the show. I think some people would be surprised how far some goals and determination will get them.

The list also helps keep you on track and not distracted at the shows imho.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
