PHP/MySql Problem - php-nuke - question

php-nuke 7.2
Fresh Install
No mods or changes to anything
mysql 4.0.18
php 4.3.5

someone else installed the script for me because i was having problems once they installed it was working but neither of us could figure out what was wrong with the script

im having a problem getting access to the admin functions, like i created a super user and logged in then i tried to access the admin features and it wouldn't let me i click on preferences and it brings me to a Access Denied page i'm not sure whats wrong

can anyone point me in the right direction with this i've been toying with this for hours now bah

Never worked with it, just know it has a TERRIBLE securityhistory. Make sure you keep it up to date.

yea i've been there it sucks i know i'm going to be getting 7.3 tmw when i wake up its supposed to be hack proof or some crap thats what they're promoing on the site i just want to get this up and running to see how it looks and runs and what not

what is $dbtype set to in config.php - if 'mysql4' try setting it to 'mysql'

nukecops.com if its up. Guaranteed to find the answer there. Mysql injection attacks were the biggest problem but thats fixed now

tried changing the database type to mysql got a database error i changed it back to mysql4 and it worked fine expect i still dont have acceess to the admin functions someone else told me i might be able to see or change the permissons on the admin account via myphpadmin and the admin table i dunno if anyone have any idea whats goin on with this i'd be more than happy to hear you out

hey thanks for the offer man but i got it to work i knew it was something minor i just had to change the dbtype i had mysql4 and needed to be MySQL i dunno why it wasn't working now it's time to try and modify the theme if you don't mind i might hit u up and ask a few questions about that thanks everyone

i came across this site but im having trouble understanding the tutorial on editing the template hrm http://www.nuketutorials.com/main.htm am i supposed to be editing mainfile.php or header.php when i want to change the logo graphics and what not hrm it kinda make sense but then i get lost
