Yes I'm a retard!!! I was pointing out the other advantages browsers that offer tabbed browsing also come with. It's ok to read between the lines sometimes I know it may be a little much for you but you'll be fine.
Anywho it's the 4th and I'm off to drink some beer. No time or point in arguing over something pretty stupid as this. Good day.

You will only have one browser window open. At the top there will be a set of tabs that will have several different pages open. You will be able to click among the tabs to visit the various pages. Much the same as if you had the IE tabs open on your Windows taskbar, however they will be in the browser window instead. No great advancement, if you ask me...

Hey Shemp - basically, tabbed browsing is a way of having several webpages open in just one browser by using tabs. You'll notice at the top of this picture the tabs - showing each website that I have open. I can click on the tabs to visit that page instead of having several instances of IE open. This is a very useful feature if you wanna have several pages open at the time and be able to switch between them often.

How can I enable that the Firefucker opens all links by default in a new tab instead of a new browser?

you scroll down the page you want to look at various items on (eg list of posts), when you see an interesting link, instead of right click open in new window then alt tab back to the original window you simply middle click (click both buttons at once if you have no middle button) and continue scrolling down for other interesting things... the new tab opens and begins loading in the background, when you get to the bottom of the screen you then go and have a look at the tabs you've opened up.

saves me a lot of time.
edit: btw you can ctrl tab between the tabs
Okay, I guess that depends on your personal preference. I found it very annoying that it just loaded in the background and several times I actually clicked a link more than once because I didn't notice it had opened a new tab.

you have it set to open all links in a new tab? I'd find that annoying/confusing...
only thing that sucks with the tabs is when you middle click on a link which has onclick window dot open, just loads the same page

Confucius say you are teh dumbass.
Foolio - You are also a dumbass. I don't know about you, but when i'm working, i've got heaps of shit open pretty much all the time. I've got my taskbar 2 layers high and i still fill the thing out. And don't even mention XP grouping to me, that shit is possibly the most annoying "feature" to have ever been added to an operating system.
With tabbed browsing, i rarely have more than 2 browsers taking up space on my taskbar. Without it, everything is a huge fucking mess.
Tab'd browsing at its finest. I'm totally addicted to all the cool features this browser offers.
I like Opera too. But damn, mouse gestures freak me out. For ages, i didn't know what the fuck they were, and i kept accidently doing them not even realising what was going on. I thought the damn thing was broken.

Tools / Options / Advanced / Browsing
Activate "Select new tabs opened from links".
I personally like when they are loaded in the background.
