              Depends. If ya have to ask, then you should be using a program like CuteFTP, then just right click on the file and select CHMOD.

              If you use plesk, use your file manager.

                I use a sftp. It works like a FTP but has the power of a unix terminal.

                      yep chmod -R 777 dir/ will do everything -R flag is for all

                      as long as you have root you can fix things in the end :p
