Yo via ssh i wanted to chmod 777 a dir and evrything in it

chmod -R 777 juicy <---- is that it?

Depends. If ya have to ask, then you should be using a program like CuteFTP, then just right click on the file and select CHMOD.

If you use plesk, use your file manager.

Goodluck Juicy! Sometimes changing file perrmissions can screw things up. I know, cause I've screwed things!

yep chmod -R 777 dir/ will do everything -R flag is for all

as long as you have root you can fix things in the end :p

yup that was it , it worked i use SSH but sometimes i forget the exact syntax
