Revshare VS PPS

PPS any day of the week. There is no way I will sit around for 3 months to make the same money in one sale. You can reinvest much faster.

depends on the site. If it's a high quality original site I live revshare better. If it's like all the other crap out there I'll take pps.

now if most of the sites make their cash from recurring sales wouldn't that be true for the affiliates that promote them as well?

split between the two. pps is nice if you need the money asap. recurring living is the optimal way to go.

Recurring billing is only part of a program's profit. You should also factor exit traffic, cross sales, and member's area upsells as large percentage revenue generators.

Take the quick cash.

PPS during the summer and a mix of both the rest of the year. The recurring makes up for the traffic slowdown, and the PPS keeps your pockets full at all times.

The number of revshare programs that consistently get over $35/sale is pretty damn small.

I sent about 50 s/u's per day to one site for about 6 months and still got fat checks TWO years later. A nice chunk of members stayed far beyond 1 year.

Mix it up

personally, I use about 50% revshare and about 50% PPS

for revshare, I prefer to send to smaller programs with dedicated niches (especially if the owner knows what the fuck they are doing) as well as single girl sites (those things recur forever)

revshare is nice for slower months or months I'm not actively sending a bunch of traffic.

but I'd go for Revshare, for those amatuer type sites, or those that have excellent members areas, that update often.

This is about as simple as it can get.....

With PPS, the tour decides your income.

With revshare, the members area decides your income.


There are several variables, but this should be the basis of the PPS vs. revshare decision for the tpyical webmaster.

I would say revshare for most I use, my top is topbucks with $54/SU average for 2004 and $47/SU for 2003

I gave the stat. I run about $38/sale for Lightspeed. I use statsremote and it makes this type of thing easy to analyze.

Edit: I was invited to Pheonix so I have some volume with them. I was the lowest rung invited.
