Hacking your cable box?????

YO i got cable vision digital cable. Im wondering if there is anyway to like HEX the box so i dont gotta pay like $5 per movie when i order from the movies on demand..

If you are talking about the IO Digital from Cablevision as of now nope.

I can give you some insight on this. if cablevision runs anything like charter, then no, there is no way other than somebody on the inside of the company comping your account. Movie purchases are controlled by software and hardwired equipment at the OTN and HEADEND for your system, nothing you do in your house is gonna change the fact that movies you order need to request them from those 2 locations and are thus recorded specifically to the GI number and serial number of your box which is listed on your account in the cable data system at your local office where you pay your bill. The GI number, in conjunction with the software run at your local office, on the corportate network, track your purchases, account options, services, etc...

This is however only if they run like charter systems, but thats not always the case.
