Hey guys I have been using ccbill for over a year now I love the support they have and kimmykim has gone way out of her way to help but.... there is allways a butt
I have been hearing that alot of webmasters are swtiching cc companys due to the scrubbing they do. IS This correct? I hear once they signup like to jettis there sales go way up? IM in no way putting ccbill down at all. I would rather keep them but shit I got to see more sales or something hehe... Thanks a bunch

Scrubbing is a good thing at times! Yes, Jettus approves more people from what I have seen, but they also have a high return ratio. They like giving people their money back, so it isn't as viable if you are running a per signup program. The higher the scrubbing, the better on those!

also if they're approving more and giving more refunds that means more people are getting freebies. which = more bandwidth costs.Comment

Do they give a reason for a denial...?Originally posted by GotGauge
ccbill mails me all denials so I can see how many get scrubbed.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Yes, and most of the time it is human error, and they get it right the second or third time, LOL.Originally posted by Lexxx

Why not use both and give your surfers an option?Originally posted by va2k
Great That makes more sence and makes my mind up Ill stick with them thanks guys and kimmy <hides> Dont hurt me pwease
I am beginning to think like every thing in life people get used to things, and when someone signs up for a CC Bill it makes it easier for them to sign up for another CC Bill site one day.
I also, personally think, that if someone is burned by iBill or if they have had a bad experience with CC Bill it wont matter which you use, its all personal experience. But if you gave that surfer the option, he would join your site, but not with iBill or CC Bill, whoever burned him... or if the last CC Bill site he joined sucked ass.
Despite the bad marks regarding Paypal and holding funds blah blah blah, I added it as a payment option to a member site, and I make more on the Paypal sign ups than CC BIll, I am also thinking of adding different processing methods to give surfers the option to choose, If I put all my trust in CC Bill as the only option for my site, I would have cut myself out of hundreds of dollars a week... and thousands per year.
Your surfers are the ones you should be worried about how they feel about processors.

We need an option to PayPal for billing. We only want to clear the final ammount, not a fixed ammount or the CC companies shopping basket on our site.
Will CCBill do for this?
Someone got there number? Or any other suggestions.Comment

I discovered just the other day (doh! It's probably been possible for quite some time) that ccbill makes it very easy to add a check box on my signup page where I say:
Join our mailing list: [Ckeck box]
And then a little PHP script I wrote joins the surfer to our list as part of the payment proces. Cool!
(My point is that ccbill is pretty good because of their flexibility like that)Comment

That's your job, moron. Or perhaps you're too busy tooling around in your sissy car to do any work?Originally posted by kmanrox
kimmykim will thrash you now as soon as she is done mopping up the blood from her perpetual period.....
Tom,
Trying out different processors is a wise idea for any business, and having at least two on board is critical to getting the most thruput you can.
As for our scrubbing? The average account has 10% or fewer declines due to scrubbing. The bank declines, surfer error declines, etc account for the other 90% of the average account.
Something else to think about is pre-sorting your surfers by IP country.
If you know CCBill or someone else doesn't take a particular country, why even offer them the chance to be declined? Sort them out, send them to a dialer, to Paypal, whatever as their primary join option, it only makes sense.
Sorry it took me so long to reply, I guess I missed it the other day.Comment
