To me, PR is overrated. People become obsessed by a little green bar and it can drive a SE guy absolutely nuts, I know I was for a while. The only thing I really care about is where my sites rank in the SERPs. So while a #1 ranking could have a PR 3 and a #2 a PR 5, there are other elements involved in the ranking algorithm. Hard to tell. The other sites ranked in the top 5, did their PR's move accordingly or was it just you who moved up? The problem with PR is that's its constantly changing but the toolbars only reflect the changes once or twice per month (like we're going through now). Then you need to account for onsite changes that each of those 4 other sites have done, one might have tweaked a title, one might have done a link trade, etc... All these factors combined make this whole game in constant flux. If you didn't change a thing and neither did those sites, chances are no changes will happen. If you did something to boost that PR though, you have a good chance of moving up.Originally posted by Jdoughs

Yes they were new sites on new domains and the indexes recieved pr4s and the other pages recieved pr3s..
And yes i had added a nice plan for linking and many had not been found when they first were displayed in the results
I know pr3 is failly meaningless but i figure it must help my rankings, atleast i hope i dont fall after recieving the 3 pr boost..haha
