I just can't believe that people have paid for gmail accounts. Like they're going to be worth anything in the future... they're as worthless as short ICQ numbers.

my views.. google is considered a cool company and qmail is per invite only.. google is in this to make money so don't believe otherwize.. but they made a nice move with that invite only to create the buzz..

-you get to say cool stuff like

(This is for later when gmail replaces email in the common vocabulary like "google it" instead of the long assed expression "search it"

as far as web based..

It has some cool features, its easier to group emails together in "conversations." Plus, they have a keyword search feature for your mail. Downside is that your mail is not safe, or private. But hey, thats what happens in the land of the free.

I don't have a whole lot of complaints about their spam filter either
