Yabb has some nice features but is way too server fat, not easy to tweak, and well just heavy. PHPBB is a much better free solution that YaBB my

Invision is best hands down. PHPBB doesn't even come CLOSE

Invision 2 is scheduled to be released very soon... next gen of boards: it will beat vbb too

they will be a bit more anal about getting money for it though

Yes Invison board is very nice. Easy to tweak. Very server friendly.

i'm using invision v2.0.0 PDR 4 - most recent PDR is out for couple of weeks. i've been using v2 w/o any bugs or problems for about month, since PDR2. its simply great. but its not complete to be officially released and they dont have upgrade script to migrate from 1.3 to 2 yet. i just couldn't wait till the release.
