how often does dmoz update its search database

    how often does dmoz update its search database

    been about 1 month now since one of my sites was acepted into the directory and when i go through the category i can see my link but it doesnt appear in the actual search itself

    does anyone know how often they update ther internal seach
    the hun gets revenue from pre-paid gallery placements on the top 15 spaces and banners.
    the rest of thegalleries are free placements.

    From what I've seen, they very rarely update, it's an "open" project as it is. It's almost a lost cause getting a backlink from there, you just have to submit and pray. And there's many other places you can get a much better backlink from, although you may have to pay a little $.

      theres some places in dmoz (adult) that are very easy to get listed in

        Tell me more, tell me more! I assume you know a dmoz reviewer/editor for adult? (Every link helps, but I was also implying that dmoz links don't have any special "weight" over other links).

          they do but only in specific categorys ;)

          had a site that wasnt listed in dmoz for close to 3 years now that always hovered around pr2 / pr3 got it added last month and its now up to a pr6 ;)
