Search function solution

As many already stated, this board is almost useless without the search.

I understand that it is off, because of some kind of DoS attacks (massive searches and so on...).

However, when you signup on some sites (like paypal.com), they require you to look at a picture and write in a input box what word or characters are in the picture (usualy numbers and letters). Such a function is very easy to code in PHP (or it's even easier to find it on the Net), and it should not be a problem to add it to VBulletin.

So I'm suggesting adding this little helpful thing, and all users will be happy with the search again.

Giving access to search function to only some of us (I'm sure some people have access to search now) is not a solution.

I built my own search function for gfy.

I also have the userid to membername memberlist that gfy for some reason has turned off , i also have a complete email database of gfy members.

For some reason they ( lens & co. ) just dont like to spend very much time on gfy.

yeah I am interested to get the search ability again ... I know I am looking to hook up with people on here from San Diego or Ocean Side that play paintball as I have a competetative team and would like people with the mean and insterest to play ...
