haha i know a bit about the stock market, and of course motley fool, but i'm just looking for suggestions as far as bypassing a broker and trading online?SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Went to there local branch and signed up in 10 mins, gave them a check and i was good to go, don't do too mucg trading but everything seem very easy to do with them.Comment

I filled out a one page contract, wrote a check and walked into their office. Before I left their office, the branch manager placed my trade for me.

Scottrade is great. Excellent features. As far as how long it takes it depends if you are starting fresh or transfering from another brokerage house. When transfering it can take a week and your stocks must sit during that period. If you starting fresh you can trade the 1st day..Comment

I can almost beat that... they actually placed my trade before even depositing my check. LOLOriginally posted by howard

Thanks for bringing this topic up bro! I was looking into Etrade and almost started with them. Never even heard of these guys but it looks pretty solid so far and low as hell for the fees.
Only one thing missing and I am sure Lensman has someone on it:
I don't see GFY in that list, do you?How did you hear about us?
