Built in popup blocker, let's see how could this affect our industry, there are tons of popup blockers around, but not all users know about them, since now all them will have it setup by default.

Yep, Console blocking is fully activated by default. You get a little bar at the top of any page that creates them informing you and you can choose to display them if you want - or totally block without being informed in the future.

Also Outlook Express won't display images any more by default so spammers can't detect active email addresses any more. Neither can email senders check whether you have read an email from them ;)

You also get the Windows Firewall for free - no need to buy any firewall products now - each time a program on your PC tries to use a port you are warned and can allow or ban it.

              There's a lot more too!

              - Robin.

                interrrrrrrrrrrrrrresting
SIG TOO SMALL! Maximum 1200x600 button and no more than 30 text lines of ALL SIZES and COLORS. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 6240x4800 instead of a 1024x800.

Ive been running the beta version for several months and love it. No need for the google popup blocker anymore. Also, the windows fire wall is set to on by default. Other than that cant really tell a big dffference.

                          SP2 RC1 right here....

                          http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...p2preview.mspx

it blocks ALL popups and ALL active-x prompts by default. this means dialer installations and toolbars.
