for the guys that acutally use ebay do you wind up getting very good deals compared to what you could get in the stores?

Depends what your buying, On items over 1k yes anything under i just go and buy it in the store.

It really depends - I have gotten some really great deals - paid like 10-20% of what the item was going for in the store - other times I have gotten hosed - mostly because of shipping and duty costs though.

It's usually cheaper than retail, but you have to deal with fraud, items getting damaged in the mail, hassle of returning items etc.

If you are willing to take your time, really search and research, then yeah, you can usually get a pretty good deal on ebay. If you just jump at what you think is the first good deal you stumble across, then you are probably getting scammed.
