    Billing solutions for webhosts?

If you run a webhost what are some good billing solutions to accept credit cards with out using paypal or having to go through the proccess of getting a merchant account.

Ie. charge customer $2000 / mo, proccessor takes 5%, and pays you weekly or something

    help please

I would strongly suggest opting for the merchant account.

why the fuck would you want to give up 5% when it only takes 150$ or less to set up a merchant account for hosting co's letting you process at 2%??

I concur.. Get a merchant account.

Anything less is just plain irresponsible as a host.

I do question it being only $150, I would say budgeting $500 for it should be more in-line with the real world. Discount rates for card-not-present (but with valid AVS and CVV) range anywhere from 2.0-3.8% or so for non-risk transactions (usually depending on your volume and business and/or personal credit if you need to sign a personal guarantee).

A starting merchant w/ a low volume probably will see about 3%'ish unfortunately these days.
