Google Testing 1TB! disk space?

Gmail Goes to 1TB!
Apparently "kicking it up a notch", Gmail now indicates that users have a full terabyte of disk space! Mine says:

Is this a mistake or a genius leapfrogging of their competitors? (You've got to imagine that few, if any, users will go past 1GB making this mostly a marketing gimmick.)

Not even google would have the capacity to provide terabytes to its users for a free service.

Besides, filling up a terabyte with emails would take a LOT of spam.

I LIKE being able to delete my messages. Yahoo can't possibly keep all of the deleted junk from everybody's email boxes every day. When I hit that delete button, I know that it's gone.
