The fastest way is to view the clip full screen mode, hit PrintScreen at the scene you want the screenshot of, open it in Paint Shop Pro, and resize it.

Ao least that is fastest way for me.

I just fire the movie up in PowerDVD and hit the capture-button now and then... works for me...

          Cheers!

Go to Virtualdub.org and download it. It's the best free video editing program ever made.

Open the file, fast forward to the appropriate frame and hit Ctrl-1 to copy it to the clipboard, then go into photoshop or something and paste it.

Using plain old alt-print-screen never worked for me, it would just capture the outline of windows media player, with only black space inside.

I used to create tons of movie galleries and found a program a few months ago called Magic Media ++ on www.download.com - It has a pretty slick interface and can resize mpeg and avi thumbs based on your requirements. Also, it grabs the first frame of the movie, but it has the option to set a different frame from within the movie based on your selection.

KickAss program - try it out...
