I have a CC Processing Question

I have my own merchant processing visa, discover, amex,mc for the last 2 yrs or so. We (business) have a good standing in regards to barely minimal cb's and any disputes from customers.

Account does pretty good volume monthly due to b2b transactions and such and we deal in tangible goods.

Ok now lets say if I wanted to get a Adult merchant account under "business" since we have a good standing already does that put any weight in getting good rates and such?

If you are close with the bank then they should be able to help you out...if you're not, regardless of your merchant standing, you'll probably have a rough time

That?s not necessarily true. If you wish, we can discuss this further on ICQ 339-460-672

          OK, here are mine.

Unless your bank does 5967 transactions then they will only be able to help you by supplying you with references for the banks that do. You're also going to need a good gateway to process the transactions, and I would suggest someone like Epoch or Netbilling to handle that -- the fraud control that is involved in adult subscription processing, along with the customer service, is just too important to leave to someone without experience in the arena.

I would also suggest handling it through one of these kind of guys because if you get into a jam with your chargebacks they have at least got a bit more pull with the banks and Visa than a bank who doesn't already have the experience or a gateway service that's never dealt with adult.

You're also going to need to be able to do a minimum of $50k per month -- perhaps $100k depending on a few things -- in order to get the merchant account in the first place.

You will still have to follow all the usual Visa rules, and if you are going to acquire outside the states, you'll have to set up a company in the region where you want to acquire as well.

Are you currently doing "card not present" transactions?

Your web transactions will be in this category, and only this category of experience will help you.

I agree 100% Kimmy and thanks for the mention in your post. We do have a couple new banks oening up here domestically which will take lower volume 5967 merchants. Anyone interested can certainly contact us and we will be happy to notify them of our new solutions when up and running.

Of course, right now we can setup offshore and domestic merchants processing 100k or more and can handle all check processing, fraud scrubbing, and customer service.
If they are selling adult or mainstream tangible goods, we are setting up merchant accounts typically within 48 hours (sometimes 24).

              Thanks, Mitch

There are fewer and fewer banks accepting adult paysites these days. There are more and more existing processors getting out of the business all together. In the last 30-45 days there have been several LARGE processors announce that they are no longer going to remian in the adult processing business.

There are some new banks in the USA who will take on small adult (5967) accounts. If you are currently processing I may be able to help.

Humboldt merchant Services is currently taking on adult business that meets the following:
                  -2 years in business
-$100K a month or more in current processing
                  -current CB's under 1%
                  -good financial standing

Let me know if I can assist.

                    Hi,

We work closely with Steve and Humboldt. They are a great bank and an excellent compliment to our gateway and call center services.

                    Mitch
