Amsterdam webmaster party

Can someone give me some REAL info.
Weeks ago i ordered 3 of those free tickets, all i got was a spam mail 3 days later telling me to get free tickets.
Last week i got another mail which confused the shit out of me with different dates, prices and other nonsense.
I just want to know where to get the tickets, where and when the party will be.

I would really like to go (and bring my g/f) but am also _very_confused about the whole thing (probably sounding a bit newbish)

But when you try to register on <A Href="http://www.worldtelemedia.co.uk/NOCworld/amsterdam/generalinfo.htm">WorldTeleMedia</A> it reads: "All visitors to World Telemedia 2002 Amsterdam will require an Event Pass [...] £350".

This reminds me of "Free Porn"

And another question: As an adult webmaster is there any good reason for spending GBP 350 for that trade show & conference (there is NO pass for the exhibition only)?

Did I ever tell you the story of the last time one of these was organized?

To make a long story short, I bought tickets flew all the way out there only to find out people still didnt know what date it was.

My plan was to Travel Europe on a long vacation until they could figure out what date the damn thing was.

I was in Europe for 2 months last summer waiting for the damn thing to start.

By the time they finally figured out the official date I was already so far South in Venice there was no way I was gunna travel all the way back just to go.

If only I had goten an actual set in stone date, with no changes I would have made it.

I'm going whatever. I figure if it's happening then great but as it's only a party then wtf. Amstrerdam is a good place to visit and if people are going a few beers and maybe whatever else is being sold with other people is gonna be fun.

He has been posting every board with the info, but he is also just an employee, not the organizer. I would assume his boss gave him the right info though.

Bone, last time it was just a webmaster meeting, this is supposed to be a BIG convention With sponsors and all....

That's not how I understand it. As I understand it was to be an adult webmaster event similar to the US based ones with stands and sponsors etc which ran alongside a 'normal' webmaster event with non-adult orientated stuff.
For some reason it seems the original organisers of the adult side couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery and cancelled it at reasonably short notice (it's short notice if you gotta buy plane tickets well in advance). Since then a couple of Dutch based sponsors have kicked in and are throwing a party instead.
The non-adult event is still happening but the tickets are stupidly priced just for a bit of info that you can get any number of places on the Internet. The main reason for going seems to be for the party and to meet up and chill out with other people selling porn.

As I say - way I look at it is if the party is happening then great. If not it seems enough people are commited and going that it'll be fun whatever!

I kind of regret not going to Amsterdam this time, however I think that the Great Grand Canyon Triplexcash Roadtrip will make up for it in a big way...

For everyone going to Amsterdam, have a great time... go eat at "Kantijl and the Tiger" for some awesome Indonesian food... You won't regret it...

I'm there from the 18th to 21st in some birds apartment. I have the wife with me too - she's even taken to making the odd post here which is scary. I'm figuring if I ignore her posts she may go away.

For those that know him I'll have Sheepish with me too although his girl doesn't know he does porn for a living (yet) which may prove interesting......
