About 10 cops had a speed trap setup near my offices yesterday and I was watching them nailing people out the hahahahahaha. This old geyser didn't stop when the cop with the laser waved him down to pull into the lot and nearly drove right over the cop. Then he hesitated as if he was going to stop as they started to run down the street after him, then he floored it and took off.

It was like a Cops TV episode after that. Funny thing the guy must have got away because the cops returned back to the speed trap in a couple minutes.

Should the female cop have been beating the guy? Depends on the situation and what exactly was taking place. Peoples stories tend to get exagerated so without a video nobody can really say.

Wilber, have YOU ever arrested anyone? Ever had to struggle with a suspect who has a weapon and attempted to shoot a co-worker or friend or even regular citizen?? Until you have you cant say shit. Sometimes, tempers flare. Most of the time, you need to use more force to get the suspect to co-operate. Put yourself in that situation and tell me the cop doesnt deserve respect after that.

I have seen cops hassle my friends. I have been handled by a cop and made to "taste the hood" I have been stripped down in a police station by cops, and was let go the next morning with no charge because they just wanted to hassle me and my friends, all 3 of us spent the night in jail for nothing.

While some may not be bad people, most are fucking useless power hungry idiots.

It has nothing to do with being Macho. It has to do with protecting the public from drug dealers, rapists, murders and yes the occasional car thief.
Theres more to being a cop then wearing a bullet proof vest and wrestling criminals. They can also be role models for todays youth and assist with community events etc.
Obviously cops have the same imperfections that everyone else in the world has. They arent robots or supermen/women. The odd cop is only a cop for the power.
Believe me, I work very very closely with police every single day. There are alot of cops that are complete assholes, but theres more that arent. I've seen and dealt with the same shit they have to put up with every single day, and they will always have my respect.
They are paid dick all to put their lives in danger to protect yours. Give them credit where credit is due.

this is the attitude I cannot STAND to see.

I can tell you right now I did NOT deserve to be treated the way I was. When they stripped us down, in a line with everyone I can totally relate to these Iraqi Prisoner Photos! They made us strip to humilate us in front of the cells of other guys.

I was in college at the time and the cop was pushing me by the shoulders, almost DARING me to swing, saying that I was just a punk and that I shouldnt be "downtown" at this time of night.

We were walking down an alley downtown new orleans, next thing I know we were hand cuffed and being told we were fighting and causing problems, and that we were going to jail.

We were NOT FIGHTING, i was with 3 of my BEST FRIENDS, childhood friends even.

70% chance the guy DID NOT deserve it.

I know the people that drove by and saw the cops standing over us probably said the same thing, and just as they were wrong, you are WRONG today.

i cant stand people who choose the side of the cops over the people.

I PAY THEIR FUCKING SALARY. not the other way around

Just saw that episode. They tried to blame the inability of 3 of them (2 men 1 woman) to bring the man down on the drugs that were in his system from many hours ago. Truth of the matter is he would have whipped that one cops ass hands down.

Obviously your story is one sided. Im not saying its IMPOSSIBLE that the cop was in the wrong in this case or in yours. But 99% of the time they do what they do for a reason. They have better things to do then screw around with some "punks" walking down an alley. Your attitude in this thread alone makes me think that you DID resist and thats why you got treated poorly. But obviously we'll never have the entire unbiased story.
