Dell computers again...

Piece of shit customer service.
I ordered their laptop 12th of march, paid it in full in cash 13th of march, and they said I'd receive the machine by 28th of march.

Now I called them and tried to confirm this, what I got was this:

My phone was redicted somewhere abroad, the girl didn't speak finnish (I called finnish customer support)
This wasn't the bad thing really, the bad thing was that they informed me that they haven't started compiling my machine yet, and I would receive it around 24th of april.

WHAT THE FUCK?!
I already sold my current comp. That leaves me 3 weeks without a computer. Hungryman, care to contribute some computerparts

Hell, my brother wanted me to configure and order a Dell for him. I did it on a Friday night. The computer was already on his door on Wednesday. It was even duing the holiday season, so they kicked ass there.

I imagine something being shipped to Finland will take some serious time no matter what Dell had to say about it. It has to go through increased security in customs on both sides, odds are it won't be flown over unless it was paid extra for... all that sort of thing. Its not like it went 2 states away. Look at how long it takes a simple T Shirt to reach Europe.

When we buy Dell servers they ship on time everytime. We've been very happy with Dell.

Think Rocky was makin a joke about that series of commercials here in the states, that has some stoner teen saying "Dude, you got a dell".

And... It has to be the overseas thingie... they probably realized about the extra security, and made an adjustment to the time.

I get my dells the day after they ship, with regular ground... Then again I live about an hour from the factory.

I called them, and I think my tone of voice wasn't very nice. They said something about waiting for processors. Bitches.

Dell sucks bigtime....they wanted me to try their servers....at that time I used non dell servers. They kept nagging me and bragging
about their new 1U high servers...I used the IBM netfinity 1U servers..

To stop the nagging I tried one....got it for free from Dell.....
I decided not to be complete asshole and give the thing a go.
Unpacked the thing screwed it in rack, want to install.....no RAID
drivers.....I search the net....nothing....I call Dell.....They tell me
the server is so new that there are NO RAID drivers available yet
I should call back in 2 months.........fuck that.

I return the server call the guy and explained him that it's quite
hard to test servers is NO OS is possible to install on it...
good story ends......NOT....2 weeks later I get an invoice for the
server.....which was given to me for free....and I had return it.

Call dell again and again and again.....took me 3 months and I
received about 6 invoices before they had corrected it......Then
they sent me a CAKE.....YES....A CAKE! with a note that asked
for apologies and that the RAID drivers were availabel....if I was
still interested they would be willing to send me the server again
so I could try it again.......FOR FREE!

duhhhh......Very nice offer....thanx but NO THANKS DELL!
