      System Admin/php stuff is just like everything, just need alot of practice, patience and persistance. I've been doing system/network administration at a data center for nearly 6 years now, best way to learn is to just start messing with stuff, or you could always take some courses...

      Get a crappy Pentium 200 out of your garage, install redhat on it, get apache mysql and php running on it, thats a good start ;-)
