Unless you have previous experience, I don't think you're qualified to call these birds death traps.

Accidents kill more soldiers in a war zone than gunfire, IED's or friendly fire. When there is no war, planes and helicopters drop out of the sky all the time, it never gets any press outside of the area around the base unless its a local kid.

actually the black hawk has a tendency to have all sorts of mechanical mishaps. It was rushed into production and it's been around since 1979 so it is showing it's age. I just want our boys to have the safest and best instead of sending 80 billion to iraq why not take care of those fighting there first?

when your over an enemy area, anything can happen. Risk is always there. Its sad but hell a few hundred years or so soldiers just lined up and shot at each other. Came along way.
