Not sure he's trying to trash their program, though more info regarding where the hits came from and whether or not he tried to contact them to look into it should be stated.

Also, next step is if the traffic source is the same, try it with a different sponsor. Perhaps your surfers don't like a certain aspect of how Spread4u displays something. Could be just as simple as that..

                Cheers,

Look down at your keyboard, to the far left you should see a key that says: "Caps Lock", if you hit that key once now you won't be typing in capital letters. It's complicated I know, it's what makes the difference between BIG and small letters, if you are lucky you will also have some lights in the upper right corner of your keyboard that tells you if caps are on or off. If you still find it too hard I suggest you call the store where your purchased your keyboard.

I agree with you, but why do these shaving threads keep happening does the sponsors that do shave think they will never get caught? or do they only do it for the short term money without any regard for good business practices? is it all for a thrill?

is it counterproductive? I would think so....

                                Hi poorwebmaster,

I'm Barry, owner of Spread4U.com. First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining our program and sending over 4,000 hits.

Zero conversions in 4,000 uniques may or may not be unusual, depending on the type of traffic you are sending.

Can you please contact Gunner at gunner(at)spread4u.com or ICQ#54403110 to discuss this further? You can also reach me at barry(at)spread4u.com. I'm sure together we can figure out a way to turn your traffic into $$$.

P.S. Thanks to everybody who supported us in this thread!

Just my but the whole gang at spread4u are good people. Probably the most down to earth of all the ones I party with at InterNext. Talk to them; they'll take care of you, I'm sure.

                                        My feelings are mixed.

I webmaster for a website that is signed up with the Spread4U affiliate program. We had the Spread4U link up for almost a year because the company owner felt that "live chat" should be an option for the surfers going to his site. He never received a commission payment. After removing the Spread4U banner, within a week he received a phone call from a disappointed client asking what had happened to it. The company owner explained that he hadn't made any money from the link and that's why it was no longer there. A few days later he received his first commission check and consistantly received checks every month for the next 6 months.

Either my client's website wasn't converting at all (totally possible) or there was shaving. Since it is a low-traffic website, I can't say for sure either way.
