Umm...Why did I get this :

From: "quentin" [email protected]
To: "ghesquiere,quentin" [email protected]
I'm neither of those persons, nor is my email either of those.
It was something about a free hosting

I once got an email from a company confirming that I had just ordered 9 adult movies for a total of $180 I looked at the email and realized that my email address and the person who ordered it was only one letter different ( it was hotmail afterall ) and so hotmail accidently sent it to me. .

Yeah, but these emails have NOTHING to do with any of my addies. it even looks as they're to & from the same person. Wonder how I got them, not spammish at all.

its a method of spamming to make it look like they sent it to the wrong person

it also makes the mail appear differently to servers, thus bypassing anti-spam methods

I sent an email to a bunch of people (friends) last night. I wanted them all to get it BCCd. So I mailed it to myself and BCCd everyone else.

I'd say that's what happened.
