    Content Theft

One of the problems with producing good content is you get it stolen. I'm continually chasing people who steal our stuff to promote Adult.com, ARS, boss hawg and many others. I threaten to tell his sponsor he changes it.

The problem with piracy is killing the industry fast.

Believe it or not it's content that drives the porn business, I know traffic is important but take away the good porn and the traffic will disappear. Try stopping people from viewing good porn.

Content providers need to make a good living, to buy equipment, pay models, rent studios, etc. Screw us by stealing content, allowing it to promote your sites, allowing it on your TGP site and you will see more of us disappear. Which could have two effects. Leave you with people who produce on a shoe string and newbies, which will hurt the quality. Or reduce the amount of content providers to a level of 3 years ago, watch the prices rocket then

It's mainly free stuff that's the problem. Building a paysite with stolen content is becoming less of a problem. Then those with paysite are suffering because of all the stolen content out there devaluing the price of their membership.

The solution is hard to see while everyone is in a mad scramble for every single click they can get, regardless of the source and quality.

However if TGP and AVS sites insisted on a set size and a watermark it would be easier to spot the thief, he would have to remove a watermark or put his over it. Then TGP owners could check pages that are going up every day, please do not bleat it's not possible to check 40 pages a day. It takes an hour. And if you run a system you cannot manage, then get it to a size you can oversee.

Good TGP sites should be charging for their spots, all of them not just the top ones, where else in the business world are you allowed to advertise to make money for free? How much is a listing on Worldsex, the Hun, etc. worth?

The industry backing an organisation that goes after thieves and penalises their supporters should be backed by all of us. Who are the main supporters, TGP sites who allow it and sponsors who ignore it.

Well news for you, Visa are in court, Perfect 10 are suing them for profiteering from theft. Perfect 10 win, Visa might just say "Goodbye, this is the straw that broke the camels back" or they might start inflicting us with more rules and regulations. And who will be to blame? Look in the mirror.

This guy is a joke, but this guy is not. http://www.sex-realm.net/191nannah/gal12.html http://www.cyber-sex-drive.com/150lisa/gal12.html He's highly organised and consistent.

Yeah it sucks, but what are you going to do! There will always be the cheaters out there ruining it for the rest of us. Even if you watermark it they will just crop it off unless you make the logo big, then it just looks bad.

there are too many agendas (hidden or otherwise) for this entire industry to back any one organization.

No the TGP sites make the rules images are a set size. We need to fight this together, it's in all our interests. The thieves contribute nothing but problems. If they steal content why would they choose to follow any rules, or do you think they cheat on just one level?

Perfect 10 get a decision then I can sue anyone profting from theft. Might make this agenda a little less hidden.

I've heard a rumour that an organisation is being set up to sue people benefiting from stolen content, or you pay a fee and penalty to purchase the license.

Is that the only thing that makes people wake up?

chill out man... this will do nothing but make the life of honest webmaster harder for no reason. Cheaters are there to stay and you know it.. they'll always find ways to break the rules.

I've been submitting galleries since 1999 and it got around 300% harder to get listed than it was back then... if you start adding up rules.. then you'll have to be rich to even attempt entering this biz.

problem is. lawsuits tent to take a long time, and cost a lot of money.. all for a 50/50 shot at winning... and if you do win... what have you won really?

i'd venture a guess that the majority of content providers out there are small operations that just don't have the resources, time, or desire to pursue a lawsuit.

even if they all teamed up, and went after a few people, it wouldn't make a dent. cause in the mean time, usenet, irc, and a thousand other sites are still passing your shit around.

think the record companies even scratched the surface in stopping mp3 trading? and they're multi billion dollar companies.

how about a DRM for images? it that even possible?
tends to annoy people... I know whenever I come across a video with it telling me I need a licence, i leave the fucking site.

Charly if i remember right there was soft ware that you can make the pics some how and then it will go threw the new and tell you where that pic is and who has it ,
I know our site we mark all the pics .
I know a webmaster or two that has gone threw and stoled alot of shit and to me it is bad .
We now only make three pics that will go to full size on our site and you cant remove it or the pic will be shit

.I do agree tho it is a prob i am sure will long be there . I do think that the sponsor`s some how and i know it is hell to do so should make them only have there content , and if that was to work and i am right on the soft ware then things maybe could be a little better

So true. I find that stolen content and design is usually a sign of another cheat taking place with the gallery.

There is nothing wrong with weeding out the biz a little, and making it not so easy for every little kid to jump into it. Its usually these types anyway that do most of the cheating.
