    Best video editing software...

    Just something to cut bigger clips down to smaller clips for galleries. Also, something that will let me chose compression and how big the file will be. I been using w-indows movie maker and it's not too bad, but it sucks waiting 2 fucking hours when you try to import a 300mb movie. Anything faster I can use? Thanks.

      If you just want to cut up .wmv or .asffiles then ASF tools is by far the quickest way I have found. http://www.geocities.com/myasftools/ You can cut videos into clips and then join them back together if you need to as well.
      Theres a bunch of stuff it can do like repairing, creating ASX's and other things but I only use it for the cutting feature.
