Feedback on e-gold needed!

I'm considering signing up for an e-gold account for both personal use and to recieve payment / pay affiliates.
Does anyone here have any feedback, good or bad, to share?

That's one thing to keep in mind for sure, don't use them for transactions you're not 100% sure about.

I like their service, but they have apparently become a harbour for scammers and cp promoters so I don't use them much anymore.

um, what do you mean? the actual program e-gold are the scammers or alot of people who are using are scammers...?

I'm very familiar with egold, and yes there are tons of get rich payout scams using egold, but that has nothing to do with your question. I wouldn't use it to payout affiliates, but I would go ahead and get a personal account. The problem with paying affiliates is that it can be a pain in the ass for them to then convert it to cash or paypal. What I hate about egold is all the % fees along the way when buying egold and then having it converted back to cash using a currenty exchanger. In the end it will cost you more to pay your affiliates this way because it will cost you to convert money to egold to pay them out and then they will bitch when they then have to pay to convert their egold back to cash.
