My pricing for my sites is set by me. I don't have a scientific formula and I am still not sure if my pricing is the best for maximum revenue.

I mainly reference similar sites and my own experience, but the risk there is you fall into everyone else's mistakes rather than finding the best option.

Now billing companies have these stats, do they share them? Does anyone publish a report that people can access? I would pay, not too much but some

if your members area is good, you can demand more, start at 19.95 then change to 24.95 if your retention/conversion suffers adjust... keep goin until it suffers, then you know your traffic's threshold

free trials are best, but harder to come by and then they have shitty conversion rates...

I was a strong supporter of trials, until Cashtour took the trial off drunkslut and my conversions stayed the same, but my rention went way up!

So, now I say No Trial is Best!

force a member to stay for the whole month and see what the paysite can offer,,

rather than let a leecher go in with a 4.95 trial and download your whole membership site in 3 days just before canceling,,,

this idea of well the surfer might forget to cancel to cause a rebill is not working anymore,,,, i mean like what is the average conversions from trial to full membership? 20-30%

Well, I occasionally join sites for a few days to see what they are doing, and more often than not I quit in 3 days because I am bored and because so many of them have the same content as other sites.

for the most part, porn is an impulse buy....very few are surfing porn to comparison shop...if they hit a ssite and the model on front arouses them, they are less likely to quibble over a few $ for a trial...

we have a high trial with the DarkDollars sites at $9.95 for 3 days and it didn't seem to affect signups....of course we have fairly unique sites too, so that helps...some generic "megasite" has more competition....we're also experimenting with no trials....

give a free 2day trail ($0) and then move to 24.95 if not canceled.. leave it in the fine print on the signup page and ull be all set... no1 really reads the fine print do they?
