    Board Tracker spam

Who else gets Board Tracker spam? I signed up on March 31 and was careful to NOT click email alerts or bookmarks. I have already received 45 emails since my sign-up!!! First I nicely emailed asking for them to remove me from their mailing list. My bookmarks keep being automatically reset to "all" even though I've unselected and saved everytime I've logged on, and I told them this in my email. When they responded back they told me to turn off my alerts. Even though I never selected alerts, I checked anyway and they were off. It's getting to the point where I think I'll have to report them as spammers. Anyone successfully get the spam to stop without unregistering?

They are a great program. I am sure they are not spamming. Just e-mail them again and or ask for an ICQ #. Or you can simply set your alerts to nothing.

As I said, my alerts have always been and still are set to nothing! That's the problem. I've requested a few times asking to be removed from their email list and they won't. It looks like a great site that I want to be a part of; I just don't want all the extra spam.

Ron (the owner of BT) has been travelling a lot lately, including being in Phoenix. I'm sure he'll answer you and get to it as quickly as he can.

He's a great guy and does his best to help out people with these things.

That's the spam I'm talking about. I'm not signed up for, nor have I ever been signed up, to receive alert emails.

Anyone? My mailbox will get hundreds and hundreds of these Board Tracker spam emails if it doesn't get fixed before I get on my plane!

Set a rule with outlook that any e mails from them goes right to your deleted items folder.

                    Hi Trixie.
I have tried to explain to you how to disable/change email alerts.
Understand that I am on the road and only reading email on internet cafes. Not the best place to work from.
                    Again:
                    1. Log in to your board tracker account
                    2. Go to "Setup" page - link in top menu
                    3. Go to "Alert settings" section on that page (scroll down)
                    4. Either uncheck the "Alert by Email" or fine tune the search-term.
                    5. Click "save".

If that process it a bit complicated for you, please bare with me until I get to a place where I can work from and I will disable it for you. I will be in such a place on the 8th.
