You don't need to block them. Just set up an e-mail rule to recognize that phrase in the e-mail and send it directly to the Trash/Deleted folder.

Some great ways to reduce spam and viruses.

You can run your domains mail through a couple of different hosts that have cleaning software and then have filter rules on your local mail program, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY - DON'T FUCKEN' RUN MICROCRAP ULTRA MACRO FRIENDLY BULLSHIT... TALK ABOUT A LEPPER.

RUN NETSCAPE and Have VIEW ATTACHMENTS as LINKS.

This means you can open any message to look at the inside rather than guessing on just the subject list and it won't run any .exe .scr etc etc..

ALWAYS LOOK CLOSELY at .jpg or supposed image files if they say they are a picture in the body from those senders you don't know or recognise for another .extention ... most will be .jpg.pif to execute a virus.

Go with webhosts that allow fall through mail aliases.

For each of your friends or business associates or contacts set your sender as [email protected] when you mail them a message.

Then when viruses or spam come in your mail you can pinpoint exactly where they came from, even if they have cloaked and faked out the headers for the sender

If your friends do that bulk mailing of friendship crap either tell them NOT to put you on them... And/Or advise that any they send out to multiple people should be BCC not just CC... BLIND CARBON COPIES prevent fake friends or oppertunists from creating very easy mailing lists for spamming from grabbing the CC email addresses.

Have JavaScript option turned off for reading emails also.

Get a great firewall that allows you to fully define your own rules like atguard, this will also prevent any virus that manages to get active like an outlook one from being able to send out to all your contacts as,(in the way I have my firewall setup) you get a warning popup on each attempted send out of mail, in which you then need click OK/CANCEL etc

Btw 12 years online and never been infected... Had a shit load of Nimda and varients and virus mail from Mexico sent to me though last year [Last year was a real fucking shit for viral emails]

On the topic of spam & virus.... if you run your own server, why not just setup spam & virus filtering on the server?

On my personal web server, I have a special program installed that intercepts the mail before it reaches qmail... first it checks to make sure it's not spam by comparing it with an open relay service & spamcop (don't ask me how that works), then it scans the email for viruses (the virus definition files are automatically updated everyday). If everything goes ok, the mail is then delivered to qmail, and qmail does it's thing.

If anyone's interested, here's a <a href=http://forum.plesk.com/showthread.php?threadid=1070&perpage=15&pagenumber =1">message board thread</a> that provides instructions on how to do it.
